i've had this blog for a while now and all of you who "follow" me, and those of you who drop in once in a while, probably know that i write about all kinds of things here. there's really no rhyme or reason. this may change in the near future as my life starts take on some new definition and shape, but for the time being please bear with me!
i know some of you are blogging yourself. i'd love to hear how that's been going for you... what changes you've made in your approach... how you manage to keep at it over time... etc. etc.
and most importantly, how do you keep from becoming a slave to your blog???
(i am obviously not a slave to this blog, but i do feel awful guilty when i don't write... which makes it harder to sit down and write at all! ack - what's up with that?!)
at any rate, this standard backdrop caught my eye today. not exactly the look i'm going for, but it will do for now. i find it a nice change from the trendy wood grain, don't you?
there's so much to catch up on, but all i think i'll do for today is make this one small change.
check back soon for more updates on letterpress and gardening ~ i think you'll like. :)

Blogging is hard for me. I've had such a tough adventure with it over the years, ask me sometime! I remember that feeling of self-imposed pressure to 'perform' and blog regularly- I started writing for that instead of feeling truly inspired to write something. It started twisting what I wrote and I lost my way and my writing started to suffer AND suck.
ReplyDeleteStay true to you! <3
Love you marit!
For the most part, I believe that few ever read my blog, but that is OK, since I write it mostly for me, documenting my recovery from codependency. And a slave to my blog I am not. I am lucky if I post once per month. There generally has to be a strong emotional impetus to get me to post.
ReplyDeleteI've always enjoyed reading your blog, Marit
@redspiral! welcome to complete! so nice to hear from you here! i had no idea you had a blog... so fun, i can't wait to read!!! let's get together again sooooon. xoxo
ReplyDelete@rocky, thanks again for always being there for me! your support over all these years really means the world to me. i like what you post, so honest. you're truly an inspiration.
I love your blog!!! The whole reason I started blogging was because you inspired me so much. I say don't be a slave tot he blog, just write when you feel like it. Even if it's only once a month. Keep it fun for you.

Marit! Hi! I am glad you invited me to your blog. I have been utterly rotten at keeping in touch with people since C was born (and even in the end of my pregnancy), but I do think about you often -- and am so happy to be able to read (even if it's on my phone while nursing) and know you are well. :-) -A
